Our Origins

We began manufacturing projectors back in 1939. From our humble beginnings, we have grown through dedication to our product and customers to become one of the nation's largest technology companies, now manufacturing high-quality commercial 35mm projection and transport systems for the world, as well as commercial money sorters and office equipment. The 5515-series projection system began revolutionizing the concept of integrated projector/sound head combinations and quickly became a staple of 35mm commercial projection in many parts of the world.

The unit adopted a linear curved film gate for smoother transition of film through the projector and create a more accurate focus distance to the screen from the corners of the projected image. The lamphouse was a conventional split-unit with stand-alone rectifier. The reliability of the machine became well-known and the reputation for quality engineering and precision fabrication became well known. Our 5535-series machines further advanced the art and marked the beginnings of the state-of-the-art integrated projector/sound head combination which we see today.

The 5535-series was the predecessor the new 5545-series, and ushered in a new era of exclusive in-house component fabrication and assembly in our company which allowed us to use fewer out-source partners for completion of the machine.This led to the development of our own in-house aluminum alloy fabrication center for in-house manufacturing of not our shell platform but critical internal components as well.

The current 5545-series encompasses all the years of the experience and technological developments created in our research and development labs.

Controlling most functions and divisions of fabrication exclusively in-house today has helped us create better value, increased quality-control and provided us expanded fabrication capacities to provide larger quantities of equipment to the world.
